Vision

“We will bring life, love, and value to everyone, everywhere, every day.”

Our Story… So Far!

Pastor Charlie Riley’s vision is simple: “To help you become a fully devoted disciple of Christ.” In September of 2001, with a heart for the Kokomo community, he began a small Bible study at the Kokomo YWCA on Sunday evenings. The first night there were only a handful of people that came out but it was enough to spur faith in his heart. After much prayer and the blessing of his pastor at Hillsdale United Methodist Church, Pastor Charlie launched Abundant Life Church on January 1st, 2002. A year and a half later with about 60 people, the church was moved to 55 N. and US 31. Then in February of 2007, with about 200 people, the church moved to 2160 E. Markland Ave. The church remained in that location until September of 2011. With about 400 people attending on an average Sunday morning, the church relocated once again. On September 18th, 2011 the church held its first service at its current location at 1025 E 400 S in Oakford.

Core Values

Think Big: We will “Go Big or Go Home.” We refuse to insult God with small thinking. We serve a big God who does big things.

Excellence: We will do all that we do with Excellence. Excellence honors God and inspires people.

Giving: We will give God our First and Our Best. We realize we are stewards of our time, talents, and resources. God deserves the best of them all.

Sacrifice: We will sacrifice. We will give up the things we love for the things that we love more. It’s an honor to sacrifice for Christ and His church.

Evangelism: We will win the lost. We will do anything short of sin to reach people who don’t know Christ.

Work Hard: We will work hard and laugh harder. Nothing is more fun than serving God with people you love.

Integrity: We will honor Christ and His church with integrity. If we live with integrity, nothing else matters. If we don’t live with integrity, nothing matters.

Serving: We are spiritual contributors and not spiritual consumers. The church does not exist for us. We are the church and we exist for the world.

Change: We will change. The church must continually move with God! The message is the same, but the methods must progress with the culture.

Life Transformation: We will transform lives. We will have life transformation, not behavior modification.
