What Is The Greatest Gift A Mother Can Give Her Children?
A Legacy of Faith
I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.
2 Timothy 1:3-5
1. Legacy Faith Passes Faith Down
Then he (Paul) came to Derbe and Lystra. And behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was Greek. He was well spoken of by the brethren who were at Lystra and Iconium. Paul wanted to have him go on with him. And he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in that region, for they all knew that his father was Greek.
Acts 16:1
Abraham Lincoln said, “No man is poor who has a godly mother.”
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6
“Your Greatest Contribution To The Kingdom of God May Not Be Something You Do But Someone You Raised.”

3. Legacy Faith Starts Young And Never Stops
But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:14-15
You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Deuteronomy 6:5-7
We Should
1. Hear Our Moms
Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
Proverbs 1:8
My son, keep your father’s commands and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
Proverbs 6:20
2. Help Our Moms
When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!” Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her to his own home.
John 19:25-27
3. Honor Our Moms
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.
