Entering the Promised Land - Week 3

SPEAKER: Pastor Charlie Riley
March 9, 2024

Week 3
March 9, 2024

Then Moses answered and said, “But suppose they will not believe me or listen to my voice; suppose they say, ‘The Lord has not appeared to you.’ ” So the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.” And He said, “Cast it on the ground.”
Exodus 4:1-3

So he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from it. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Reach out your hand and take it by the tail” (and he reached out his hand and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand), “that they may believe that the Lord God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”
Exodus 4:4-5

Moses What’s In Your Hand?

God Never Asks You For What You Don’t Have

It’s What You Do Have, That Determines What God Can Do

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
Luke 16:10

He (Moses) said, “A rod.” And He (God) said, “Cast it on the ground.”

“Lay It Down” – Surrender It To God

It’s Just A Natural Dead Stick In Moses’ Hand
It’s A Supernatural Tool In God’s Hands

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
James 4:7

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Matthew 16:25

“Take It By the Tail”

Anything Surrendered To God
Will Overcome The Enemy

And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Mark 16:15-18

Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luke 10:19

Then Moses took his wife and his sons and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt. And Moses took the rod of God in his hand.
