What Forgiveness Does In Our Lives

1. Forgiveness: Closes The Door To The Enemy
Unforgivness: Opens A Door To The Enemy

Ephesians 4:26-27
26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil.

Ephesians 4:30-32
30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

2. Forgivness: Releases You From A Prison
Unforgivness: Betrays You, By Putting You Into Prison

The Great Betrayer Says:
You Hurt Me, So I’m Hurting You By Not Forgiving You

Absalom

II Samuel 16:22
He hated Amnon for being a rapist.
He didn’t forgive Amnon and Absalom became a rapist himself.

He hated David, and David had killed someone: Urias.
Absalom didn’t forgive David and he became a murderer himself. He killed Amnon (II Sam. 13:28)

Whatever you hate in a person, if you don’t forgive, you will become that very thing you hate.

How To Forgive

1. Know That You Are Forgiven!
